Be-lated Holiday Cheer

So, I stayed home sick from work today...which I STRONGLY dislike doing. I don't like to lay around when I could be getting stuff done...and I hate to admit weakness. Dunt Dunt Dunt! There I said it. But, I have to get better.

So to cheer myself up, I decide to share some Christmas cheer pictures. Sparky and I do not have children but we do have 4 little mouths to feed. I love Christmas decorations but we decided to keep it simple and sweet this year.

We kept to three colors on the tree and our stockings: Blue, Silver, and White. There was bowl and a vase on both coffee tables that got a few colorful tree ornaments thrown in them.

I got a silver sparkly stocking, Sparky got a white stocking, and all four dogs got the tiny blue sparkly stockings. Simple and Sweet...no?










The humans got simple sparkly snowflakes to hold their stockings.

I'm Crushing On...

My new rain boots from UO!




I know they're not snow boots, but they still keep my little rice paddy feet and tootsies dry when walking around the aftermath of the OKC Blizzard of 2009 (still working on the name).

The rain boots were on my wish list from UO and someone must have been a good girl this year because she got them for Christmas. Woot Woot! They couldn't have arrived at a better time that's for sure.

I'm also crushing on my new boyfriend cardigan from UO.



It's so comfy and warm. I foresee this sweater being the one I wear so often and for years to come that it will be the root cause of me being nominated for the show "What Not to Wear" and I will have to fight and cry to not throw it in the trash can. Just saying. It's really that awesome.

I spy a third Christmas present I'm crushing on...but it will be a separate crush in itself!

OKC Blizzard 2009...eh?

So the OKC had a blizzard and Sparky has been trying to come up with the best name for it since the news stations haven't really done so...and they normally come up with the great dramatic names for events. We've narrowed it down to the following:

Christmas Blizzard '09!
The Great Christmas Blizzard of '09!
Holiday Snow Storm '09
The Great Christmas Holiday Snow Storm Blizzard of 2009!
OKC Blizzard Christmas 2009!
OKC Christmas Blizzard 2009!
The Great Abandon Your Car in the Ditch Because of the Snow Blizzard of 2009!
Let's Still Shop in a Snow Blizzard and Get Our Car Stuck in a Snow Drift Because it's Chrismtas 2009!

And of course to be politically correct or not? The use of Christmas or Holiday?

We can't decide if the use of "09" or "2009" is more dramatic.

So many decisions.

It's a work in progress.

Ruby has been trying to help sniff out the best name and she is at a loss too.

UGODOG

Sparky and I's latest attempt at spoiling our four wee little doggies is ...

the Ugodog.


It's an indoor dog potty! Although I am not at all in support of our dogs learning that using the indoors is okay for their potty ways, an indoor doggy potty is a must. You see...Sparky and I can't make it home sometimes during our lunch hours, so our little precious doggies are forced to hold their wee widdle bladders for 9 hours sometimes! I know I couldn't do it, so I don't expect them to do it either. We do leave a pee pad as an option and the dogs definitely use it most of the time, but replacing pee pads is quite expensive when you go through a pad daily.

We looked at the fake grass options, but I didn't like them. The fake grass is a bit wierd to me (I know it's ironic that I'm saying something is wierd)because the idea of each fake grass strand catching a little something (you know what I mean) seemed way too unsanitary to me. I didn't want to end up cleaning fake grass after the doggies doodled all over it. EW!

So, Sparky started searching for other options and we came across the Ugodog. I like the idea of it's supposed easy clean up. (I also liked the image of the skinny looking Ruby using it! lol) I'm crossing my fingers this will be true. Below is the description copied from the Ugodog website.
