New Years Evolution

As some of you may know from my New Years post last year, I am not a person who believes in New Years Resolutions. I just never really have. I do believe in having black eyed peas on New Years Day in hopes for a lucky year to follow. Thanks, dad for that superstition.

I woke up this morning and instantly thought "New Years Evolution" for some reason. It actually just popped in my head. I thought that "New Years Evolution" is so much more hopeful than a resolution. I googled "evolution" as I google most things, and found the following definition of "evolution":

A gradual process in which something changes into a different and usually more complex or better form. See synonyms at development.
1. The process of developing.
2. Gradual development.

How perfect is this to start thinking of yourself for this new year ahead of us? I always strive to be a better form of myself. Everyday. I reflect on my interactions with others. I think about the words I speak to others. I ask myself everyday if I am happy and what is it that makes me happy. Evolution. What do you want to gradually change about yourself or your life in order to be a better form of yourself? These are the questions I encourage you to continue to ask yourself everyday.

Remember. No one person is perfect.

“Most species do their own evolving, making it up as they go along, which is the way Nature intended. And this is all very natural and organic and in tune with mysterious cycles of the cosmos, which believes that there’s nothing like millions of years of really frustrating trial and error to give a species moral fiber and, in some cases, backbone.” - Terry Pratchett 1948

“Evolution is not a force but a process. Not a cause but a law.”
- John Morley

Happy New Year to all my lovies.

Keep on Keepin on.

Just a quicky to say I MISS YOU!!! Oh, and I'm such a loser that I only just recently saw Twilight!!! Ummm...I guess having just had a baby and having her in the NICU for 2 months is excuse enough. We'll chat more about Twilight (the movie) soon though, yes? ;)
