Back in Business

Let me begin by saying, "I have missed you, o' wonderful world of internet searching, internet window shopping, blogging, blog reading, and even WORKING."

My life has been through some big ole changes this past month. First, I started my new job in the real corporate world and I am thoroughly enjoying it. Three weeks in this new job and I am already envisioning trips to the water cooler, interoffice drama, practical jokes, and free food. Why can I envision this so well? Because it has already ALL happened!! I am so not kidding. I am going to love this new job.

Although this new environment is going to be magnificent, the new digs have strict internet usage rules. I can't even get on to my blog or check my personal e-mail! I know, blasphemy! So, with longer hours and still trying to fit in the part-time writing gig when I get home in the evening, my blogging has been slightly overlooked. Sorry. BUT, my blogging love may be coming into a state of renew...and here is why.

Last week, after I already being super stressed from trying to understand what the heck I am supposed to be doing at my new job, how I can still motivate myself to write a little bit when I get home every night, how I am going to balance my new salary ( I took a slight pay-cut for this new fancy job), and still make sure I love on all of my doggies....I get a virus on my PC. It was like super uber virus that had a vengeance against me or something. What did I do to you, PC? I defended you and loved you for a whole three years! Why did you have to go get sick on me...again?! Yup. Again. This was not the first time this little PC decided to get sick. But, I soon discovered this little virus was not so little and it was not going to go down without a fight.

So, after not being able to get on the internet, not being able to even run a virus scan, and not being able to free up disk space...I was at a loss. I thought I had the PC world's strongest defender against viruses after our first battle, but my super virus protection was no match for the Uber virus. So, after a three day war, three days of not being able to get any work done, three days of not being able to check my e-mail, and three days of skulking and throwing temper tantrums, I conceded.

Don't think I didn't concede without proving my own point, either! I got up early this morning, headed to the mall, and waited for the Apple store to open their heavenly doors. Yes, I got myself a MAC....eat my Mac shorts, stupid PC!

So, two hours later, I am comfortably sitting on my couch, sun-light pouring through the window behind me, Ruby snoring next to me on the couch, sipping on a Strawberry-kiwi Capri Sun and blogging away on my new Mac in my lap. And yes, my PC is sitting on the coffee table in front of me recoiling in defeat.
